dc.description.abstractProses pemanenan sawit secara manual dengan egrek konvensional berpotensi mengurangi efisiensi dan produktivitas panen, serta meningkatkan risiko keselamatan kerja. Saat ini sudah ada egrek mekanis yang dikomersialkan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, namun masih terdapat kelemahannya seperti bobot yang berat yaitu lebih dari 8 kg dan jangkauan pemanenan yang terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang prototipe egrek dengan penggetar elektro mekanis. Secara umum, penelitian ini dimulai dari tahap identifikasi masalah, analisis rancangan, prototyping, hingga pengujian. Konsep dasar prototipe ini adalah gerakan putar dari motor listrik dikonversi menjadi gerakan linier bolak-balik menggunakan mekanisme crankslider, lalu dihubungkan dengan egrek konvensional. Prototipe menggunakan motor polisher sebagai sumber tenaga dan memiliki berat sebesar 6,970 kg. Pengujian kinerja dilakukan sebanyak tiga tahapan, yaitu penentuan kecepatan putar optimal, perbandingan pemanenan secara manual dan mekanis, dan pengukuran daya motor listrik. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, kecepatan putar optimal motor sebesar 1500 rpm dengan rata-rata kecepatan pemotongan sebesar 3,04 detik/objek pemotongan. Total waktu pemotongan menggunakan prototipe dibanding dengan manual yaitu pada ketinggian 7 meter selisih 1,95 menit (10,7%) lebih cepat, ketinggian 8 meter selisih 1,83 menit (7,95%) lebih cepat, dan ketinggian 9 meter selisih 1,52 menit (4,72%) lebih cepat. Besar daya motor saat pemotongan dengan prototipe sebesar 360,8 W.-
dc.description.abstractThe manual harvesting process of oil palm fresh fruit bunches using conventional cutter has the potential to reduce harvesting efficiency and productivity, and increase work safety risks. Currently, there are commercialized mechanical cutter to overcome these problem, but its still have weaknesses such as heavy weight of more than 8 kg and limited harvesting range. This research aims to design a cutter prototype with an electro-mechanical vibrator. In general, this research begins with problem identification, design analysis, prototyping, and testing. The basic concept of this prototype is that the rotary motion of an electric motor is converted into a linear reciprocating motion using a crankslider mechanism, which is then connected to a conventional cutter. The prototype uses a polisher motor as a power source and weighs 6,970 kg. Performance testing was conducted in three stages, determining the optimal rotational speed, comparing manual and mechanical harvesting, and measuring the power of the electric motor. Based on the performance test results, the optimal rotation speed of the motor is 1500 rpm with an average cutting speed of 3,04 seconds/cutting object. The total cutting time using the prototype compared to the manual is at height of 7 meters the difference is 1,95 minutes (10,7%) faster, at height of 8 meters the difference is 1,83 minutes (7,95%) faster, and at height of 9 meters the difference is 1,52 minutes (4,72%) faster. The power consumption of the motor during cutting with the prototype was 360,8 W.-
