dc.description.abstractMentimun merupakan komoditas sayuran yang memiliki nilai penting pada kandungan gizinya. Salah satu masalah utama yang menyebabkan kerugian hasil panen yang signifikan adalah serangan hama, yang dapat mengakibatkan produktivitas tanaman menurun. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh berbagai perlakuan aplikasi insektisida terhadap tingkat serangan Aulacophora indica Gmelin (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) dan perkembangan populasi Aphis gossypii Glover (Hempitera: Aphididae) pada pertanaman mentimun (Cucumis sativus Linnaeus). Penelitian dilakukan pada lahan ± 500 m2 di Kelurahan Situgede, Bogor menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dengan empat perlakuan dan enam ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan ialah insektisida biologi (Bacillus thuringiensis), insektisida nabati ekstrak daun dan biji mimba dan insektisida sintetik bahan aktif lamda sihalotrin dan tiametoksam dan kontrol. Pengamatan dilakukan dua kali setiap minggu yaitu satu hari sebelum aplikasi insektisida dan satu hari setelah aplikasi insektisida. Perlakuan aplikasi insektisida biologi (Bacillus thuringiensis), insektisida nabati (ekstrak daun dan biji mimba), dan insektisida sintetik (lamda sihalotrin dan tiametoksam) mampu menurunkan luas dan intensitas serangan A. indica serta populasi A. gossypii pada tanaman mentimun. Insektisida sintetik terbukti efektif dalam menurunkan rata-rata intensitas serangan A. indica dengan nilai EI mencapai di atas 70% setelah aplikasi ketiga. Insektisida sintetik juga paling efektif menurunkan populasi A. gossypii dengan nilai EI mencapai di atas 80% setelah aplikasi kedua. Musuh alami yang ditemukan dari kelompok predator yaitu Micraspis lineata.-
dc.description.abstractCucumbers have significant value due to their diverse nutritional content. One of the main issues causing substantial yield loss is pest infestation, which can lead to a decrease in productivity. This study aims to determine the impact of different insecticide applications on the rate of attacks by Aulacophora indica Gmelin (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) and the population development of Aphis gossypii Glover (Hempitera: Aphididae) on cucumber (Cucumis sativus Linnaeus). The research was conducted on a ±500 m² plot in Situgede, Bogor, using a randomized block design (RBD) with four treatments and six repetitions. The treatments included a biological insecticide (Bacillus thuringiensis), a botanical insecticide made from neem leaves and seed extract, synthetic insecticides with active ingredients lambda-cyhalothrin and thiamethoxam, and a control. Observations were performed twice a week, one day before the insecticide application and one day after the application. The application of the biological insecticide (Bacillus thuringiensis), the botanical insecticide (neem leaf and seed extract), and the synthetic insecticide (lambda-cyhalothrin and thiamethoxam) effectively reduced the area and intensity of A. indica attacks and A. gossypii populations on cucumber. The synthetic insecticide was proven to be the most effective in reducing the average intensity of A. indica infestation, with an efficacy index (EI) of over 70% after the third application. It was also the most effective in reducing the population of A. gossypii, achieving an EI of over 80% after the second application. Natural enemy found from the class of predator is Micraspis lineata.-
