Grogos and Koon Islands are conservation areas categorized as small island parks. The coral reef ecosystem serves as a habitat for various marine life forms. Macrobenthos are one of the biota living in the coral reef ecosystem. Their sedentary nature at the bottom of the water makes macrobenthos valuable indicators of water quality conditions. This study aims to determine the diversity of macrobenthos in the waters around Grogos and Koon Islands, East Seram Regency. The research was conducted from October 3 to 4, 2023, in Grogos and Koon Islands. The method used for observing macrobenthos was the Belt Transect and water quality parameters were measured in situ. The macrobenthos in the waters of Grogos and Koon Islands are highly diverse, with 98 species from 8 phylums. The phylum Chordata with the subphylum Tunicates was found to have the highest number of individuals in every study site. The water quality in the waters of Grogos and Koon Islands remains in good condition so it can support the life of macrobenthos in these waters.
