| Abstract: | Pemanasan global merupakan fenomena peningkatan suhu permukaan bumi akibat emisi gas rumah kaca. Global warming is a phenomenon characterized by the increase of earth's surface temperature due to greenhouse gas emissions. Private forests provide financial benefits as wood producers and offer environmental services by sequestering carbon. This study aims to quantify carbon sequestration and analyze the feasibility of private teak forest with and without the carbon extension rotation age scheme. Data collection was conducted using stratified random sampling with a sampling intensity of 10% and stratification based on tree age. The study found that extending the teak rotation by ten years increased carbon dioxide sequestration by 122,61 tons CO2/ha (57,17%) and wood volume by 44,55%. Feasibility was calculated based on outflow and inflow over a 60-year project period. Extending the rotation over 8 hectares is feasible but has lower feasibility (NPV Rp 697.204.719; BCR 1,65; IRR 7%) compared to the non-carbon scheme (NPV Rp 1.022.962.582; BCR 1,95; IRR 8%). A high carbon price and low discount rate (<5%) would make farmers more interest to choose the extended rotation scheme. |
