Abstract: Pembiayaan bank pembangunan daerah (BPD) syariah di berbagai daerah mengalami pertumbuhan yang selalu positif selama lima tahun terakhir dan berdasarkan teori intermediasi keuangan berpengaruh positif terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi, tetapi realita pertumbuhan pendapatan domestik regional bruto (PDRB) mengalami fluktuasi selama lima tahun terakhir.
Financing of Sharia Regional Development Banks (BPD) in various regions has experienced consistently positive growth over the past five years, and according to the theory of financial intermediation, it has a positive impact on economic growth. However, in reality, the growth of the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) has fluctuated over the past five years. This fluctuation is caused by other variables that may affect economic growth in Indonesia. This research aims to examine the development of regional Sharia banks in Indonesia and the impact of financing, inflation, capital adequacy ratio (CAR), non-performing financing (NPF), and return on assets (ROA) variables on economic growth in Indonesia. This study uses secondary data, which is annual time series data from 2019-2023 and cross-sectional data from six provinces covered by Sharia BPDs. The data sources for the independent variables are the annual reports of four Sharia BPDs in Indonesia. The results of this study show positive development in regional Sharia banks and a positive and significant impact of Sharia banks' performance on economic growth.
