There are still a few helicopter fish that are cultivated so this fish continues to be sought after by ornamental fish suppliers. This study aims to determine the optimal stocking density of helicopter fish (Sturisoma panamense) reared in a recirculation system. The treatments tested were K (25) (no recirculation with a density of 96 fish/m²) as control, RAS (50) (recirculation with a density of 192 fish/m²), and RAS (75) (recirculation with a density of 288 fish/m²). The results showed that treatment K (25) produced the highest survival rate (88.25%), absolute growth (PM) (2.37), and daily growth rate (0.11cm-1). RAS (50) obtained the best effort analysis value compared to the K (25) and RAS (75) treatments. The RAS (50) treatment effectively increased stocking density with a recirculation system. The RAS (50) treatment gave the most profitable results, with 72% (160 fish) more seeds than the K (25) treatment and 11% (28 fish) more than the RAS (75) treatment. The RAS (50) treatment effectively increased stocking density by 50%. RAS (50) can increase profits based on the results of the business analysis obtained.
