Abstract: Kebutuhan daging di Indonesia selalu meningkat setiap tahunnya. Salah satu komoditi peternakan yang berpotensi penghasil daging adalah kambing. Pelaku usaha penggemukan kambing masih sangat jarang dilakukan oleh peternak. Sudiro Farm merupakan usaha peternakan yang bergerak dalam penggemukan kambing, yang masih dilakukan secara usaha keluarga. Untuk itu masih perlu dipelajari cara pemeliharaan dan analisa usahanya. Kegiatan magang ini dilakukan selama 5 bulan untuk mempelajari cara pemeliharaan dan menganalisa usaha penggemukan kambing secara ekonomis di Sudiro Farm. Pemeliharaan kambing di Sudiro Farm dilakukan dengan kandang individu. Pakan yang diberikan berupa hijauan (5,21 kg/ekor/hari), konsentrat komersial (0,33 kg/ekor/hari) dan ampas tahu (1,67 kg/ekor/hari). Pemberian pakan diberikan 3 kali sehari yang dilakukan oleh 2 orang tenaga kerja. Hasil analisa usaha menunjukkan bahwa pendapatan aktual yang diperoleh sebesar Rp11.284.753 dengan nilai R/C rasio 1,16. Dari hasil ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa usaha penggemukan kambing yang dilakukan Sudiro Farm secara ekonomi layak untuk dilanjutkan, namun masih terdapat beberapa aspek yang perlu diperbaiki, salah satunya adalah terkait aktivitas penanganan limbah.
The demand for meat in Indonesia increases every year. One of the potential meat-producing livestock commodities is goats. Goat fattening is still very rarely practiced by farmers. Sudiro Farm is a livestock business engaged in goat fattening, which is still a family business. For this reason, it is still necessary to learn how to maintain and analyze the business. This internship was conducted for 5 months to learn how to raise and analyze goat fattening business economically at Sudiro Farm. Goat rearing at Sudiro Farm is done with individual pens. The feed provided were forage (5.21 kg/head/day), commercial concentrate (0.33 kg/head/day) and tofu waste (1.67 kg/head/day). Feed were provided 3 times daily which were done by 2 workers. The results of the business analysis showed that the actual income earned was Rp11,284,753 with an R/C ratio of 1.16. From these results it can be concluded that the goat fattening business carried out by Sudiro Farm was economically feasible to continue, but there were still several aspects that need to be improved, one of which was related to animal by products handling activities.
