Abstract: Nelayan Desa Munjungagung memiliki pendapatan yang tidak stabil, hal tersebut membuat para istri nelayan memiliki peran ganda yaitu sebagai ibu rumah tangga dan pencari nafkah, istri nelayan juga masih mengalami marginalisasi dan pasif dalam kegiatan sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji seberapa besar kontribusi istri terhadap sosial ekonomi keluarga nelayan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Munjungagung, Kabupaten Tegal. Responden dari penelitian ini berjumlah 53 istri nelayan yang bekerja dengan metode accidental sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif, analisis pendapatan dan pengeluaran, analisis kontribusi, analisis peran istri nelayan dalam rumah tangga dan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan istri nelayan yang bekerja masih dalam usia yang produktif, curahan waktu istri nelayan dominan untuk kegiatan domestik dan ekonomi, sangat sedikit untuk kegiatan sosial. Kontribusi istri nelayan dalam ekonomi keluarga nelayan sebesar 43%-45%, pengeluaran keluarga nelayan dominan untuk pangan daripada non pangan. Strategi pemberdayaan istri nelayan dalam meningkatkan ekonomi keluarga di Desa Munjungagung terdapat 4 strategi
Munjungagung Village fishermen have unstable incomes, this makes fishermen's wives have a dual role, namely as housewives and breadwinners, fishermen's wives also still experience marginalization and are passive in social activities. This research aims to examine how much wives contribute to the socio economic aspects of fishing families. This research was conducted in Munjungagung Village, Tegal Regency. The respondents of this research were 53 fishermen's wives who worked using the accidental sampling method. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, income and expenditure analysis, contribution analysis, analysis of the role of fishermen's wives in the household and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the research show that working fishermen's wives are still at a productive age, fishermen's wives devote their time predominantly to domestic and economic activities, very little to social activities. The contribution of fishermen's wives to the economy of fishing families is 43% - 45%, the dominant expenditure of fishing families is for food rather than non food. There are 4 strategies for empowering fishermen's wives in improving the family economy in Munjungagung Village
