The cultivation of biofloc systems is an aquaculture technology that utilizes heterotrophic bacteria to manage nitrogen waste. The addition of molasses as a carbon source plays a crucial role in enhancing bacterial biomass growth (floc) activity. This study aims to compare different methods of molasses administration in improving the growth and survival of tilapia in biofloc systems. The experimental methods used were Treatment A (molasses based on the amount of nitrogen in the feed) and Treatment B (molasses based on the amount of TAN in the water). Data analysis was conducted by tabulating data using Microsoft Excel 365 and then processed descriptively through literature review. The performance of treatment B resulted in an SR of 93,41%, LPH of 0,85 g day-1 , and FCR of 0,78. The addition of molasses based on the amount of TAN in the water showed the best results, as evidenced by the highest growth performance and SR.
