The Karimunjawa Islands have quite rich natural coastal resources but their development has not been very good in several aspects such as tourist attractions, accessibility and public facilities. The aim of the research is to identify physical beach resources and tourist preferences for beaches and analyze the tourism suitability index (Yulius et al., 2018). Data collection on coastal resources is divided into three stations which are divided into five coastal points around the Karimunjawa Islands, namely Karimunjawa Island and Kemujan Island. Kanjen Beach is the beach with the highest IKW value, namely 89.3% and is included in the S1 (Suitable) category. Tourist preferences in the Karimunjawa Islands show that most tourists are interested in wide white sandy beaches with adequate accessibility and complete facilities. The ecotourism program designed is in the form of the daily program “Turtle Education and Action”, the overnight program “One with the Beach”, and the annual program “Beach Ecotourism Festival”. |
