dc.description.abstractIkan lele Clarias sp. merupakan salah satu jenis ikan yang memiliki sifat agresif, saling menyerang sehingga menyebabkan luka-luka dan menyebabkan penurunan populasi ikan, serta pertumbuhan ikan, dan kerusakan kualitas air. Pemberian 5-HTP dan tepung kedelai dinilai mampu menurunkan angka kanibalisme dikarenakan dalam kedua bahan tersebut memiliki kandungan yang berfungsi untuk mengontrol agresivitas dan kanibalisme. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bahan yang lebih efektif dalam upaya mengontrol tingkat kanibalisme pada benih ikan lele. Ikan yang digunakan berukuran 3-4 cm dan dipelihara selama 30 hari. Perlakuan yang dipakai yaitu perlakuan kontrol (K), perlakuan 5-HTP 0,5 mg/g (S), dan perlakuan tepung kedelai 200 g/kg (TK). Adapun rancangan penelitian yang dipakai yaitu rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 3 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian 5-HTP memiliki hasil terbaik dalam mempertahankan tingkat kelangsungan hidup dan menekan angka kanibalisme. Namun dalam kinerja pertumbuhannya perlakuan TK mendapatkan hasil terbaik dan berpengaruh nyata terhadap perlakuan K dan S (p<0,05). Penambahan 5-HTP dan tepung kedelai ke dalam pakan berpengaruh nyata terhadap penurunan angka kanibalisme pada ikan lele.-
dc.description.abstractCatfish Clarias sp. is one type of fish that has an aggressive nature, attacking each other, causing injuries and causing a decrease in fish population, fish growth, and damage to water quality. The provision of 5-HTP and soy flour is considered capable of reducing cannibalism rates because both ingredients have ingredients that function to control aggressiveness and cannibalism. This study aims to determine which ingredients are more effective in controlling the level of cannibalism in catfish fry. The fish used were 3-4 cm in size and reared for 30 days. The treatments used were control treatment (K), 5-HTP treatment 0.5 mg/g (S), and soybean flour treatment 200 g/kg (TK). The research design used was a complete randomized design (CRD) consisting of 3 treatments and 3 replicates. The results showed that the administration of 5-HTP had the best results in maintaining the survival rate and suppressing the cannibalism rate. However, in terms of growth performance, the TK treatment had the best results and significantly influenced the K and S treatments (p<0.05). The addition of 5-HTP and soybean flour into the feed had a significant effect on reducing cannibalism in catfish.-
