Abstract: | Serai dapur (Cymbopogon citratus) merupakan salah satu tanaman rempah
yang memiliki manfaat sebagai herbal. Serai dapur memiliki kandungan fitokimia
berupa flavonoid, alkaloid, tanin, terpen, fenolik, antosianin, steroid, saponin,
Sebanyak 30 ekor tikus jantan dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok yaitu kontrol, infusa serai
darah. Kitchen lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) is one of the spice plants that has benefits as herbs. Lemongrass contains phytochemicals such as flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins, terpenes, phenolics, anthocyanins, steroids, saponins, isoflavones, coumarins, lignin, catechins, isocatechins, and ascorbic acid. This study aims to see the effect of giving 20% and 80% infusion of kitchen lemongrass (Cymbopogan citratus) on blood glucose and uric acid levels in rats. A total of 30 male rats were divided into 3 groups: control, 20% lemongrass infusa, and 80% lemongrass infusa. Blood samples were collected from the tail and then analyzed for glucose and uric acid levels using a test meter (Easy Touch). Mean blood glucose levels showed varying results in the three groups. Average uric acid levels showed a tendency to decrease in all three groups. The greatest decrease in uric acid levels was seen in the 20% lemongrass infusa group. Giving lemongrass infusion to rats shows fluctuating blood glucose levels and has the potential to reduce uric acid levels in the blood. |
