This research investigates the contributions of Indonesian women researchers to gender-related conservation efforts using a systematic review method. Analyzing publications by these researchers, the study identifies five key themes: gender roles in resource management, local and traditional knowledge, women’s conservation experiences, their roles in the formal sector, and conservation strategies. Findings reveal that Indonesian women researchers play a crucial role in integrating gender perspectives and traditional knowledge into conservation practices, leading to more inclusive and effective environmental solutions. The study highlights the importance of acknowledging and supporting these contributions to enhance conservation outcomes.
