Maluku Province ranks fifth as a forest region with the highest reduction in forest cover in Indonesia. Forests in Maluku have abundant natural resources which are utilized by local communities to meet their needs. One of these forests is the Tamangil Nuhuten Village Forest. The existence of these forests has become a place for people to meet their daily needs, resulting in deforestation and causing many of the beneficial values of the forest to be lost.
