This research aims to create an Internet of Things-based smart portable device integrated with the Blynk application to detect soil moisture and temperature. After the prototype of the device is made, testing is carried out by comparing data from the comparison device and the portable device 30 times to determine the accuracy of the DS18B20 sensor as a temperature sensor and capacitive humidity sensor. Accuracy is determined using Mean Squared Error (MSE), MSE values close to zero indicate a more accurate model. As a result, the MSE value for soil moisture is 11.333 and for soil temperature is 0.0726. A paired t-test was conducted to compare the smart portable device (prediction) with the comparison device (actual). As a result, there is a significant difference between the soil moisture sensor and the soil moisture meter, while the DS18B20 sensor available no significant difference with the soil thermometer. |
