Abstract: Leopard gecko (Eublepharis macularius) adalah salah satu spesies tokek dan hewan peliharaan yang paling populer karena memiliki keragaman warna serta corak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh pemberian pakan jangkrik yang dibaluri serbuk kalsium terhadap morfometrik leopard gecko (Eublepharis macularius) remaja. Metode penelitian menggunakan uji T independen untuk membandingkan data morfometrik antara leopard gecko jantan maupun betina yang diberi kalsium dan yang tidak diberi kalsium. Leopard gecko jantan dan betina remaja yang digunakan sebanyak masing-masing 14 ekor. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan 2 perlakuan dan 7 ulangan pada masing-masing jenis kelamin. Hasil penelitian ini pada leopard gecko jantan remaja memiliki pertumbuhan yang berbeda nyata pada lebar kepala, panjang badan, panjang moncong-kloaka, dan panjang total, sementara pada leopard gecko betina remaja memiliki pertumbuhan yang berbeda nyata pada bobot badan, panjang badan, panjang ekor, panjang moncong-kloaka, dan panjang total. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, pemberian kalsium pada leopard gecko remaja diperlukan untuk pembentukan kerangka dengan bertambahnya ukuran tubuh.
Leopard gecko (Eublepharis macularius) is one of the most popular gecko and pet species due to its variety of colors and patterns. This study aims to evaluate the effect of feeding crickets coated with calcium powder on the morphometrics of juvenile leopard gecko (Eublepharis macularius). The research method used independent T test to compare morphometric data between male and female leopard gecko fed with calcium and those not fed with calcium. Juvenile male and female leopard geckos used were 14 each. In this study using 2 treatments and 7 replicates in each sex. The results of this study on juvenile male leopard geckos had significantly different growth in head width, body length, snout-cloaca length, and total length, while juvenile female leopard geckos had significantly different growth in body weight, body length, tail length, snout-cloaca length, and total length. Based on these results, calcium supplementation in juvenile leopard geckos is necessary for skeletal formation with increasing body size.
