PL=Ransum perlakuan mengandung 6% minyak lemuru, PE = PL + Vitamin E 500
IU, PSe = PL + Selenium 0,5 ppm.
This study aimed to analyze the effect of performance and blood metabolites of local male sheep feed with lemuru oil supplemented selenium or vitamin E and maintained at high temperature and humidity. Total 21 local male sheep with an average body weight of 24 ± 2.43 kg aged around 9-12 months. This study consisted of 3 treatments and 7 groups with randomized blok design model. The PL= treatment ration contains 6% lemuru oil, PE= PL + Vitamin E 500 IU, PSe= PL+ Selenium 0.5 ppm. The results showed that the treatment gave gave not significantly results (P>0.05) nutrient consumption blood glucose, blood cholesterol, and BCS of sheep, however, there was a significant results (P<0.05) on average daily gain and feed efficiency. The conclusion is that the use of ration contains 6% lemuru oil and 0.05 ppm selenium supplementation (PSe) provides higher results in average daily gain and feed efficiency. The use of ration contains 6% lemuru oil ( PL), PL + Vitamin E 500 IU ( PE), PL + Selenium 0.5 ppm (PSe) rations gave the same results on nutrient consumption, BCS, blood glucose and cholesterol. |
