| Abstract: | SHAVA HUSNANIZAHWA. Strategi Pengelolaan Sumberdaya Mangrove di
Pulau Pari, Kepulauan Seribu. Dibimbing oleh Prof. Dr. Ir. FREDINAN
YULIANDA, M.Sc. dan Prof. Dr. Ir. MENNOFATRIA BOER, DEA.
Ekosistem mangrove memiliki peran penting dalam komponen penyusun wilayah
pesisir yaitu menjaga garis pantai dan mencegah terjadinya abrasi. Ekosistem
mengedepankan mass tourism sehingga dihawatirkan menimbulkan kerusakan
pemerintah. SHAVA HUSNANIZAHWA. Mangrove Resources Management Strategy in Pari Island, Seribu Islands. Supervised by Prof. Dr. Ir. FREDINAN YULIANDA, M.Sc. and Prof. Dr. Ir. MENNOFATRIA BOER, DEA. The mangrove ecosystem plays an important role in the components of coastal areas by maintaining the coastline and preventing erosion. The mangrove ecosystem functions as a spawning ground, nursery ground, and feeding ground for marine biota. The community often harvests mangrove fruits, and fishermen usually catch fish around the mangroves. The tourism destination offered by the community includes tours around the mangrove forest using local boats. The management conducted by the Pulau Pari community still prioritizes mass tourism, which is feared to cause damage and environmental pollution. The aim of the study is to determine the condition of mangrove resources and to develop a management strategy for these resources. The research was conducted from September to November 2023 on Pari Island, Seribu Islands. The analyses used are the Mangrove Health Index (IKM) and SWOT analysis. The results show that the IKM value in the research area falls into the poor category. There are three types of mangroves Rhizophora stylosa, Rhizophora apiculata, and Sonneratia alba. The alternative strategy based on priority for mangrove resource management includes the implementation and enforcement of clear regulations regarding mangrove management with the involvement of both the government and the community, and conducting community-based mangrove conservation with government participation. |
