Abstract: Gandum (Triticum aestivum L.) merupakan komoditas pertanian yang penting di Indonesia yang dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan pangan dan pakan. Sebagai bahan pangan, gandum memiliki peran penting dalam pembuatan tepung terigu yang keberadaannya belum dapat digantikan oleh tepung lain pada beberapa jenis makanan karena karakteristik kekenyalan yang hanya dimiliki oleh tepung yang berbahan dasar gandum. Penelitian gandum di Indonesia telah menghasilkan beberapa varietas diantaranya adalah Selayar, Nias, Dewata, Timor, Guri-1, Guri-2, Guri-3 Agritan, Guri-4 Agritan, Guri-5 Agritan dan Guri 6-UNAND. Keseluruhan genotipe ini memiliki daya adaptasi yang baik pada lingkungan dengan ketinggian >1000 m dpl. Persilangan varietas-varietas gandum tropis yang dilepas di Indonesia dalam rangka memperoleh segregan transgresif, memperoleh pasangan biparental dengan koefisien keragaman genetik tertinggi pada persilangan HP 1744/Selayar. Hasil persilangan ini yang digunakan sebagai material genetik dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian dilakukan pada dua lokasi yaitu di dataran tinggi (Cipanas, 1120 m dpl) dan dataran dengan ketinggian menengah (Cisarua, 600 m dpl) menggunakan rancangan kelompok lengkap teracak (RKLT) augmented. Empat varietas pembanding yaitu Guri 1, Guri 2, Guri 3 dan Selayar digunakan pada masing-masing lokasi dan diulang sebanyak lima kali. Total galur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 50 galur HP/Se generasi F6. Terdapat 16 karakter agronomi yang diamati pada tiap lokasi. Analisis ragam tiap lokasi, pendugaan nilai heritabilitas, analisis nilai interaksi GxE dan penentuan tingkat toleransi berdasarkan indeks sensitivitas stress (Stress Sensitivity Index – SSI) dilakukan untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai keragaman galur gandum pada dua lokasi penelitian. Penelitian di dataran tinggi (Cipanas, 1120 m dpl) menunjukkan adanya nilai heritabilitas tinggi pada karakter umur daun bendera (78,07%), panjang daun bendera (64,59%), umur berbunga (75,48%), umur panen (59,53%), dan jumlah spikelet (76,65%). Heritabilitas kategori sedang ditemukan pada karakter periode pengisian biji (37,58%). Sementara itu penelitian di dataran rendah (Cisarua, 600 m dpl) menunjukkan adanya nilai heritabilitas sedang pada karakter jumlah spikelet (35,11%), bobot biji malai utama (35,66%), dan bobot 1000 biji (46,76%). Tidak ditemukan adanya interaksi GxE pada seluruh karakter yang diamati menunjukkan bahwa keragaman fenotipik yang teramati lebih besar disebabkan oleh pengaruh lingkungan. GxE yang tidak nyata juga dapat pula disebabkan oleh minimnya variasi famili material genetik karena hanya berasal dari persilangan tunggal antara HP1744 dan Selayar. Seleksi berdasarkan nilai SSI menurut karakter bobot biji malai utama menunjukkan bahwa dari galur-galur yang diuji terdapat 14 galur yang dikategorikan sebagai toleran.
Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is an essential agricultural commodity in Indonesia which is used as food and feed. As a food ingredient, wheat has an important role in making wheat flour, which cannot be replaced by other flour in several types of food because of the elastic characteristics that only flour made from wheat. Wheat research in Indonesia has produced several varieties, including Selayar, Nias, Dewata, Timor, Guri-1, Guri-2, Guri-3 Agritan, Guri-4 Agritan, Guri-5 Agritan and Guri 6-UNAND. These genotypes are adaptable to environments with an altitude of >1000 m above sea level. Research carried out to produce transgressive segregants has obtained a single cross between the HP 1744 accession and the Selayar variety (HP/Se) with the highest genetic variability coefficient values in the cross results, which was then used as genetic material in this research. The research was conducted at two locations, namely in the highlands (Cipanas, 1120 m above sea level) and mid-altitude plains (Cisarua, 600 m above sea level) using an augmented RKLT design. Four comparison varieties, namely Guri 1, Guri 2, Guri 3, and Selayar, were repeated five times at each location. The total lines of HP/Se F6 generation used in this study were 50. There were 16 agronomic characters observed at each location. Analysis of variance for each location, estimation of heritability values, analysis of GxE interaction values, and determination of tolerance levels based on the Stress Sensitivity Index (SSI) were carried out to obtain information about the diversity of wheat lines at the two research locations. Research in the highlands (Cipanas, 1120 m above sea level) showed that there were high heritability values for the characteristics of flag leaf age (78.07%), flag leaf length (64.59%), flowering age (75.48%), day of harvesting ( 59.53%), and the number of spikelets (76.65%). Medium category heritability was found in the grain filling periods character (37.58%). Meanwhile, research in the lowlands (Cisarua, 600 m above sea level) showed moderate heritability values for the number of spikelets (35.11%), main panicle seed weight (35.66%), and 100 seed weight (46.76%). No GxE interactions were found in all the observed characters, indicating that environmental factors caused the observed phenotypic diversity. GxE, which is not significantly different, can also be caused by the lack of family variation in genetic material because it only comes from a single cross between HP1744 and Selayar. The main panicle grain weight character is used as the character on selection based on SSI values. The results showed that 14 lines were categorized as tolerant.
