Abstract: Penggunaan bahan bakar fosil untuk pembakaran energi listrik menyumbang emisi karbon dioksida.
The use of fossil fuels to burn electrical energy contributes to carbon dioxide emissions. As one of the campuses that supports sustainable development with the green campus concept, IPB University continues to innovate to utilize environmentally friendly energy from renewable energy sources. The implementation of the use of solar power plant is carried out as a mitigation effort to reduce GHG (Greenhouse Gas) emissions. This research is about the potential of SPP (Solar Power Plant) as an alternative renewable energy. This research aims to estimate the amount of energy that can be supplied by SPP, estimate the carbon footprint generated from electricity consumption of the IPB University Dramaga community and the value of emission reduction if using SPP, estimate the feasibility of developing SPP. Carbon footprint analysis and emission reduction with GHG emission reduction method, SPP planning analysis and NPV and payback period analysis assess the feasibility of SPP. The results of the study of building units showed a carbon footprint value of 13.259,53 tons of CO2 in 2019. SPP reduces emissions by 10.504,08 tons of CO2 per year. SPP with an operational period of 25 years is feasible with NPV above the criteria and the payback period does not exceed the operational period. At 100% scenario with NPV IDR 100.599.971.111 and Payback Period around 7 years. As well as the 30% scenario with NPV IDR 30.412.943.981 and Payback Period of about 7 years. Keywords: green campus, carbon footprint, feasibility, solar power plant, emission reduction
