| dc.description.abstract | Rehabilitasi hutan dan lahan di Indonesia masih banyak menggunakan polybag sebagai wadah semai tanaman. Polybag memiliki sifat tidak ramah lingkungan. Solusi yang dapat diterapkan adalah dengan pemanfaatan pot organik. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis komposisi dan ukuran bahan pot organik terhadap kekuatan dan sifat fisik pot, menganalisis pengaruh komposisi pot organik dengan berbagai ukuran bahan dasar pot yang berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman balsa dan manglid, serta mengkaji komposisi bahan baku pot organik yang tepat bagi pertumbuhan tanaman. Rancangan pada penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) faktorial 2 faktor. Faktor pertama adalah komposisi bahan pot terdiri dari 3 taraf, yaitu: (1) Koran 70 %, kompos 30 %, cocopeat 0 %, (2) Koran 35 %, kompos 60 %, cocopeat 5 %; (3) Koran 15 %, kompos 80 %; cocopeat 5 %. Faktor kedua adalah ukuran bahan pot organik terdiri dari 2 taraf, yaitu; (1) Ukuran 5 mesh; (2) Ukuran 10 Mesh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pot organik dengan komposisi bahan koran 70%, pupuk kandang kambing 30%, dan cocopeat 0% (A1) memberikan nilai terbaik terhadap kekakuan lentur (MOE), kekuatan lentur (MOR), dan daya serap air dengan nilai masing-masing sebesar 740,40 kg/cm2 (A1M1), 8,69 kgf/cm2 (A1M2), dan 135,85% (A1M2). Pot dengan komposisi koran 15%, pupuk kandang kambing 80%, serta cocopeat 5% dengan ukuran bahan 10 mesh (A3M2) memberikan respons terbaik pada diameter, tinggi, biomassa, serta kandungan klorofil tanaman balsa dengan nilai masing-masing sebesar 3,08 cm, 8,30 cm, 1,07 g, dan 23,93 SPAD. Pot dengan komposisi koran 35%, pupuk kandang kambing 60%, serta cocopeat 5% (A2) memberikan respons terbaik pada diameter dan tinggi tanaman manglid dengan nilai masing-masing sebesar 3,10 cm (A2M1) dan 10,63 cm (A2M2). Pot dengan komposisi koran 15%, pupuk kandang kambing 80%, serta cocopeat 5% (A3) memberikan respon terbaik pada biomassa, serta kandungan klorofil tanaman manglid dengan masing-masing nilai sebesar 1,03 g, dan 29,07 SPAD. Komposisi bahan pot organik yang tepat pada penelitian ini adalah perlakuan A3M2 dengan persentase koran 15%, kompos kandang kambing 80%, dan cocopeat 5%, dengan ukuran bahan 10 mesh untuk balsa, dan perlakuan A2M2 dengan persentase koran 35%, kompos kandang kambing 60%, cocopeat 5%, dengan ukuran bahan 10 mesh untuk manglid. | - |
| dc.description.abstract | Seedling production for forest and land rehabilitation in Indonesia up to now is still uses polybags as containers for plant seedlings medium. Polybags are not environmentally. The solution that can be implemented is to use organic pots. This research aims to analyze the composition and size of organic potting materials on the strength and physical properties of pots, analyze the effect of organic potting compositions with various sizes of different potting base materials on the growth of forestry plants, namely balsa and manglid, and examine the appropriate composition of organic potting raw materials for plant growth. The design of this study used a completely randomized factorial design (CRD) with 2 factors. The first factor is the pot material composition factor that consists of 3 levels, namely: (1) Newspaper 70%, goat manure 30%, cocopeat 0%; (2) Newspaper 35%, goat manure 60%, cocopeat 5 %; (3) Newspaper 15%, goat manure 80%, cocopeat 5%. The second factor is the size factor for organic potting materials that consists of 2 directions, namely; (1) Size 5 mesh; (2) Size 10 Mesh. The research results showed that organic pots with a composition of 70% newspaper, 30% goat manure, and cocopeat 0% (A1) provides the best value for modulus of elasticity (MOE), modulus of rupture (MOR), and water absorption capacity with respective values of 740.40 kg/cm2 (A1M1), 8.69 kgf/cm2 (A1M2), and 135.85% (A1M2). Pot with a composition of 15% newspaper, 80% goat manure, cocopeat 5% with a material size of 10 mesh (A3M2) gave the best response to the diameter, height, biomass, and chlorophyll content of balsa plants with respective values of 3.08 cm, 8.30 cm, 1.07 g, and 23.93 SPAD. Pot with a composition of 35% newspaper, 60% goat manure, cocopeat 5% (A2) gave the best response to the diameter and height of manglid plants with respective values of 3.10 cm (A2M1) and 10.63 cm (A2M2). Pot with a composition of 15% newspaper, 80% goat manure, cocopeat 5% (A3) gave the best response to biomass, and chlorophyll content of manglid plants with respective values of 1.03 g, and 29.07 SPAD. The appropriate composition of organic potting material in this study was A3M2 treatment with a percentage of 15% newspaper, 80% goat manure, cocopeat 5%, and material size 10 mesh for balsa, and A2M2 treatment with a percentage of 35% newspaper, 60% goat manure, cocopeat 5%, and material size 10 mesh for manglid. | - |
