Abstract: | Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) merupakan penyakit menular pada sapi yang disebabkan oleh virus famili poxviridae dengan tingkat morbiditas 45% dan mortalitas mencapai 10%. LSD telah menjangkiti ternak sapi di Indonesia termasuk di Desa Banjar Kertarahayu, Kecamatan Way Pengubuan, Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. Peternak memiliki peran dalam upaya pencegahan dan pengendalian LSD sehingga pengetahuan, sikap dan praktik peternak yang tepat sangat diperlukan dalam pengendalian penyakit ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi tingkat pengetahuan, sikap dan praktik peternak sapi di Desa Banjar Kertarahayu terhadap upaya pengendalian Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD). Data diperoleh dengan mewawancarai 30 Peternak sapi di Desa Banjar Kertarahayu menggunakan kuisioner terstruktur. Data dianalisis dengan metode analisis deskriptif dengan teknik scoring berdasarkan skala likert dan skala guttman . Data hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap terhadap LSD berada pada kategori sedang dan praktik peternak termasuk dalam kategori kurang. Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) is an infectious disease in cattle caused by a virus from the poxviridae family with a morbidity rate of 45% and a mortality rate of up to 10%. LSD has infected cattle in Indonesia, including in Banjar Kertarahayu Village, Way Pengubuan District, Central Lampung Regency. Farmer have a role in prevent and control LSD so that the appropriate knowledge, attitudes and practices of farmers are necessary in controlling the disease. This research aims to identify the level of knowledge, attitudes and practices of cattle farmers in Banjar Kertarahayu Village regarding efforts to control Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD). Data was obtained by interviewing 30 cattle breeders in Banjar Kertarahayu Village using a structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis methods with scoring techniques based on the Likert scale and Guttman scale. The result shows that the level of knowledge and attitudes towards LSD is in the medium category and farmers practices are in the poor category. |
