Abstract: Pulau Pari kerap dikunjungi banyak wisatawan terlebih saat akhir pekan. Hal ini memungkinkan terjadinya jumlah wisatawan yang melebihi daya dukung kawasan sehingga diperlukan diversifikasi kegiatan wisata. Budidaya rumput laut dapat dijadikan wisata untuk meminimalisir jumlah wisatawan yang berlebihan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis potensi rumput laut yang dibudidaya di Pulau Pari sebagai wisata secara ekologi, sosial, dan ekonomi serta menyusun strategi dan rencana tapak wisata budidaya rumput laut. Dilakukan observasi langsung dan wawancara selama 20 hari pada 11 November - 30 November 2023. Observasi dilakukan untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai kawasan budidaya dan kondisi perairan. Responden wawancara sebanyak 67 orang meliputi masyarakat, wisatawan, petani rumput laut, dan pemilik produksi oleh-oleh. Dilakukan analisis yang meliputi analisis persepsi, indeks kesesuaian wisata, daya dukung kawasan, willingness to pay, dan SWOT. Kawasan budidaya rumput laut Pulau Pari sesuai untuk wisata dengan daya dukung kegiatan berperahu 160 orang/hari dan snorkeling 123 orang/hari. Penerimaan yang diestimasi sebesar Rp5.984.400 per hari. Alternatif strategi yang direkomendasikan untuk pengembangan kawasan budidaya rumput laut di Pulau Pari sebagai wisata meliputi promosi, perencanaan pengembangan, peningkatan komitmen berbagai pihak dalam menjaga lingkungan perairan, pengadaan kelompok pengelolaan, dan kerjasama dengan pemerintah. Rencana aksi yang perlu dilakukan adalah penyusunan rencana tapak dengan mempertimbangkan strategi yang direkomendasikan.
Pari Island is often visited by many tourists, especially on weekends. This allows the number of tourists to exceed the carrying capacity of the area so that diversification of tourism activities is needed. Seaweed cultivation can be used as tourism to minimize the excessive number of tourists. This research aims to analyze the potential of seaweed cultivated on Pari Island as ecological, social, and economic tourism as well as formulate strategies and site plan for seaweed cultivation tourism. Direct observations and interviews were carried out for 20 days on November 11th – November 30th 2023. Observation were carried to obtain information about cultivation area and water condition. The 67 respondents included the residents, tourists, seaweed farmers, and souvenirs production owners. The analysis is perception analysis, tourism suitability index, carrying capacity area, willingness to pay, and SWOT. The Pari Island’s seaweed cultivation area is suitable for tourism with a capacity for boating activities of 160 people/day and snorkeling activity of 123 people/day. The estimated revenue is Rp5.984.400 a day. Alternative strategies recommended for developing the Pari Island’s seaweed cultivation area as tourism include promotion, development planning, increasing the commitment of various parties in protecting the aquatic environment, establishing a management group, and collaborating with the government. The action plan that needs to be carried out is the arrange of a site plan by taking consideration into the recommended strategy.
