Abstract: Penggunaan lampu LED (Light Emitting Diode) pada sistem hidrophonik dalam ruangan dapat mengoptimalkan proses fotosintesis pada tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penggunaan pencahayaan yang berbeda dan memaksimalkan produktivitas green fodder. Penggunaan sinar LED grow light diharapkan memberi pengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan produktivitas fodder. Perlakuan kepadatan benih yang berbeda bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kepadatan benih sehingga memperoleh hasil yang optimal. Kegiatan penelitian meliputi pengujian daya berkecambah benih dan produksi green fodder. Kegiatan produksi green fodder dilakukan dengan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) faktorial 2x3 dengan 3 kali ulangan. Terdiri dari 2 faktor, faktor pertama berupa pengaruh pencahayaan (L: LED grow light; M: cahaya alami), faktor kedua berupa kepadatan benih (P1: 300g/m2; P2: 500g/m2; P3: 700g/m2). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan LED grow light dapat meningkatkan tinggi tanaman dan produktivitas biomassa segar. Tingkat kepadatan benih 700g/m2 memperoleh nilai produksi biomassa tertinggi. Konversi benih berdasarkan kepadatan benihnya P3 (3,61) lebih rendah dibandingan P1 (3,84) dan P2. (4,37), dikarenakan selisih biomassa segar P2 dan P3 hanya ada sedikit perbedaan.
The use of LED (Light Emitting Diode) lights in indoor hydrophonic systems can optimize the photosynthesis process in plants. This research aims to examine the use of different lighting to maximize green fodder productivity. The use of LED grow lights is expected to have an influence on fodder growth and productivity. Different seed density treatments aim to analyze the level of seed density so as to obtain optimal results. Research activities include testing seed germination and green fodder production. Green fodder production activities were carried out using a 2x3 factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 replications. Consisting of 2 factors, the first is the influence of lighting (L: LED grow light; M: natural light), and the second is seed density (P1: 300 g/m2; P2: 500 g/m2; P3: 700 g/m2). The research results show that the use of LED grow lights can increase plant height and fresh biomass productivity. A seed density level of 700 g/m2 obtained the highest biomass production value. Seed conversion based on seed density P3 (3.61) is lower than P1 (3.84) and P2. (4.37), because there is only a slight difference in fresh biomass P2 and P3.
