Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi performa reproduksi peternakan rakyat KUD Giri Tani. Bahan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa 274 ekor sapi perah betina dengan status fisiologis sapi dara dan induk laktasi. Metode yang diterapkan pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode berupa pengumpulan data secara langsung ke 38 peternak yang berada di bawah naungan KUD Giri Tani. Hasil dari penelitian pada manajemen reproduksi di peternakan rakyat KUD Giri Tani masih terdapatnya peternak yang belum terampil dalam memeriksa birahi, dan kurangnya pengetahuan peternak terhadap pentingnya pencatatan. Sedangkan, performa reproduksi yang didapatkan dari perhitangan mendapatkan nilai service per conception 2.16, nilai conception rate 44.53%, nilai days open 154±126.7 hari, dan nilai calving interval 13.5±3.4 bulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa keempat parameter tersebut belum mendapatkan nilai yang ideal atau normal sehingga dapat dikatakan performa reproduksi di peternakan sapi perah rakyat di Kecamatan Cisarua kurang baik sehingga memerlukan upaya perbaikan pada periode berikutnya.

This research aims to identify the reproductive performance in Smallholder Farms of KUD Giri Tani . The material used in this research was 274 female dairy cows with physiological status of heifers and lactating cows. The method applied in this research uses a method of collecting data directly from 38 breeders under the auspices of KUD Giri Tani. The results of research on reproductive management in Smallholder Farms of KUD Giri Tani still show that there are breeders who are not yet skilled in checking lust, and breeders lack knowledge of the importance of recording. Meanwhile, the reproductive performance obtained from the calculations obtained a service per conception value of 2.16, a conception rate value of 44.53%, a days open value of 154±126,7 days, and a calving interval value of 13,5±3,4 months. The results of the research show that these four parameters have not yet achieved ideal or normal values, so it can be said that the reproductive performance of people's dairy farms in Cisarua District is not good and requires improvement efforts in the next period.
