Abstract: DIMATULLOH. Produktivitas Rumput Pennisetum purpureum pada Varieta yang Berbeda Dibimbing Oleh GILANG AYUNINGTYAS dan TEKAD URIP PAMBUDI SUJARNAKO. Ternak ruminansia dapat memanfaatkan serat kasar menjadi sumber karbohidrat. Serat kasar pakan dapat diperoleh dari hijauan seperti rumput. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi produktivitas rumput jenis Pennisetum purpureum pada varietas yang berbeda. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Desa Limbangan, Kecamatan Sukaraja, Kabupaten Sukabumi. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap 5x3. Faktor uji berupa varietas rumput Pennisetum purpurem (R1: Rumput Pakchong, R2: Rumput zanzibar, R3: Rumput Bionutriss, R4: Rumput Biograss, R5: Rumput Biovitas). Peubah yang diamati antara lain tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan biomassa segar rumput. Hasil penelitian menunjukan perlakuan varietas rumput berpengaruh secara nyata. Rumput Biograss memperoleh nilai tinggi tanaman tertinggi. Nilai jumlah daun dan biomassa segar yang tertinggi diperoleh pada rumput Zanzibar.

Rumint livestock can use rough fiber as a source of carbohydrates. Rough fiber can be obtained from forage, like grass. The study aims to evaluate the productivity of Pennisetum purpureum grass in different varieties. This activity was carried out in Limbangan Village, Sukaraja Prefecture, Sukabumi District. The experimental design used was a 5x3 factorial. The factor is a grass variety of Pennisetum purpurem. (R1: Pakchong grass, R2: Zanzibar grass, R3: Bionutriss grass, R4: Biograss grass, R5: Biovitas grass). The variables measured included plant height, number of leaves, and fresh grass biomass. The results show that the treatment of grass varieties has a real influence. Biograss obtains the highest value of the plant. The highest value of fresh leaves and biomass is obtained from zanzibar grass.
