The Indonesian government will move the country’s capital from Jakarta to the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) located in East Kalimantan Province. The electricity demand of IKN is projected to increase along with the increase in population and economic growth in the region. This research aims to produce projections of electricity demand and supply for 2024-2060 in the Nusantara Capital City using Renewable and Environmentally Friendly Energy scenarios, as well as identify renewable energy development strategies in the Nusantara Capital City. This research will use the energy planning analysis method with Low Emission Analysis Platform (LEAP) software. The projection results show that the total electricity demand of IKN grows on average by 16% per year during 2024-2060. In 2045, the electricity demand will be met from 100% renewable energy generation, consisting of hydropower (1.925,49 MW), solar power (1.492,15 MW) and wind power (150 MW), with a total investment cost of 4.471.594 thousand USD. |
