Abstract: Kualitas produk merupakan faktor yang sangat penting dalam dunia bisnis karena memiliki dampak signifikan pada kepuasan pelanggan dan reputasi perusahaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengurangi jumlah produk defect sehingga perusahaan dapat mengoptimalkan biaya produksi nya. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengendalian kualitas produk coil menggunakan metode Six Sigma, pendekatan Six Sigma dilakukan dengan siklus DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) dan melibatkan alat pengendalian mutu seven tools yang berfungsi untuk melakukan pengambilan keputusan perbaikan dengan mengetahui penyebab cacat, variasi, dan defect potensial. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan critical to quality produk coil yaitu tension creases sebanyak 63 yaitu 18,1% dari 348 produk cacat dengan tingkat sigma perusahaan 2,65. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai acuan perusahaan dalam melakukan proses produksi untuk menjaga kualitas produknya.
Product quality is a very important factor in the business world because it has a significant impact on customer satisfaction and company reputation. The aim of this research is to reduce the number of defective products so that companies can optimize their production costs. This research focuses on controlling the quality of coil products using the Six Sigma method, the Six Sigma approach is carried out using the DMAIC cycle (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) and involves a seven tools quality control tool which functions to make improvement decisions by knowing the causes of defects, variations, and potential defects. Based on the research results, it was found that the critical to quality coil products were 63 tension creases, namely 18.1% of 348 defective products with a company sigma level of 2.65. The results of this research can be used as a reference for companies in carrying out production processes to maintain the quality of their products.
