Abstract: Studi ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi waktu dan biaya produksi di PT Honoris Industry. Metode yang digunakan mencakup perancangan tata letak baru, evaluasi Ongkos Material handling (OMH), dan penyeimbangan beban stasiun kerja. Perusahaan menghadapi tantangan dalam meningkatkan efisiensi produksi terkait penanganan bahan dan penyeimbangan stasiun kerja, yang saat ini dilakukan secara manual. Solusi dalam penelitian ini mencakup identifikasi tata letak, evaluasi OMH, penyeimbangan stasiun kerja, usulan tata letak, serta evaluasi efisiensi waktu dan biaya dari tata letak baru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan efisiensi kerja sebesar 27%, penurunan idle time 69%, peningkatan produktivitas 7%, pengurangan 3 operator dengan penurunan biaya tenaga kerja hingga Rp 13.200.000, penghematan ruang 4x8m2, penurunan jarak material handling dari 698m ke 494m, dan penurunan OMH sebesar Rp 68.000.
This study aims to enhance time and cost efficiency in the production layout at PT Honoris Industry. The methods employed include designing a proposed layout, evaluating Material handling Costs (OMH), and proposing line balancing. Currently, the company faces challenges in improving production efficiency related to material handling and line balancing, which are currently done manually and time-consuming. The solution stages in this research comprise layout identification, OMH evaluation, line balancing, layout proposal, and assessment of the time and cost efficiency of the proposed layout. The study yields a 27% increase in work efficiency, a 69% reduction in idle time, a 7% increase in productivity, the reduction of 3 operators leading to a decrease in labor costs of up to Rp 13,200,000, space savings of 4x8m2, a reduction in material handling distance from 698m to 494m, and a decrease in OMH by Rp 68,000.
