Abstract: PLTGU (Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap dan Gas) Cilegon memilliki kawasan perlindungan keanekaragaman hayati dan sumber daya biologi yang berfungsi sebagai penyerap emisi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi keanekaragaman vegetasi dan menghitung cadangan karbon di kawasan PLTGU Cilegon. Perhitungan cadangan karbon tegakan dilakukan secara sensus menggunakan metode non-destruktif dengan rumus alometrik, sedangkan tumbuhan bawah dan serasah dengan teknik penarikan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling secara destruktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 49 spesies dari 22 famili dengan tingkat pertumbuhan pancang terdapat 36 spesies, tiang 38 spesies, dan pohon 27 spesies. Keanekaragaman dan kemerataan vegetasi di PLTGU Cilegon tergolong sedang dengan jenis mangga (Mangifera indica) memiliki INP tertinggi tingkat pancang dan tiang, sedangkan tingkat pohon adalah pohon pelangi (Eucalyptus deglupta). Cadangan Karbon di PLTGU Cilegon tergolong rendah yaitu 17,52 Co2 (ton/ha) dan potensi serapan karbon 64,31 CO2 (ton/ha). Nilai ekonomi dari cadangan karbon di PLTGU Cilegon berdasarkan estimasi harga pasar karbon tahun 2023 adalah Rp 33.178.679 hingga Rp 298.608.111.
PLTGU (Steam and Gas Power Plant) Cilegon has protected area for biodiversity and biological resources that serves as an emission absorber. The purpose of this study was to identify vegetation diversity and calculate carbon reserve in the PLTGU Cilegon area. The calculation of standing carbon stocks was carried out by census using the non-destructive method with the allometric formula, while undergrowth plants and litter were with purposive sampling techniques using the destructive method. The results showed that there were 49 species from 22 families with level of sapling 36 species, pole 38 species, and tree 27 species. The diversity and evenness of vegetation in PLTGU Cilegon is classified as medium with the type of mango (Mangifera indica) having the highest IVI (Important Value Index) at the sapling and pole levels, while the tree level is rainbow tree (Eucalyptus deglupta). The carbon stock in PLTGU Cilegon is low at 17.52 Co2 (tons/ha) and the carbon sequestration potential is 64.31 CO2 (tons/ha). The economic value of the carbon stock in PLTGU Cilegon based on the estimated carbon market price in 2023 is Rp 33,178,679 to Rp 298,608,111.
