Abstract: Partisipasi petani dalam pengelolaan hutan rakyat memiliki peran penting untuk menjaga eksistensi hutan agar tetap terjaga serta meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat dan kelestarian hutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis partisipasi petani dalam pengelolaan hutan rakyat dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya di Kecamatan Kare, Kabupaten Madiun. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam dan kuesioner skala ordinal dengan analisis korelasi Rank Spearman terhadap 90 petani secara purposive sampling. Faktor internal yang diukur adalah umur, jumlah tanggungan keluarga, luas lahan, pengalaman berusaha tani, dan motivasi berusaha tani. Faktor eksternal terdiri dari penyuluhan kehutanan, kelompok tani hutan, dan sumber informasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi petani dalam pengelolaan hutan rakyat di Kecamatan Kare pada tahap perencanaan tergolong sedang, tahap pelaksanaan tergolong sedang, tahap pemanfaatan tergolong sedang, dan tahap evaluasi tergolong sedang. Partisipasi dipengaruhi secara nyata oleh faktor internal dan faktor eksternal.
Farmer participation in private forest management plays an important role in maintaining the existence of the forest and improving community welfare and forest sustainability. This study aims to analyze farmers' participation in community forest management and its influencing factors in Kare Sub-district, Madiun District. Data were collected using in-depth interviews and ordinal scale questionnaires with Rank Spearman correlation analysis on 90 farmers by purposive sampling. Internal factors measured were age, number of family dependents, land size, farming experience, and farming motivation. External factors consisted of forestry extension, forest farmer groups, and information sources. The results showed that farmers' participation in private forest management in Kare Sub-district at the planning stage was moderate, the implementation stage was moderate, the utilization stage was moderate, and the evaluation stage was low. Participation is significantly influenced by internal and external factors.
