Hemorrhagic shock is a major cause of morbidity and mortality in surgical and trauma patients. This study aims to describe the leukocyte picture of rabbits in hemorrhagic shock, and identify the effect of therapy and dexamethasone administration. This study applies shock induction with a fixed volume, then therapy is given using hypotensive resuscitation and dexamethasone. The data in this study used 6 normal rabbits which were divided into two groups, namely the group without therapy and the hypotensive resuscitation and dexamethasone therapy group. The results showed that in the condition of hemorrhagic shock, the number of rabbit leukocytes and their differential decreased. The group without therapy and group given therapy showed that the rabbit leukocytes profile and differentials had increased again. The hypotensive resuscitation therapy and dexamethasone therapy group were statistically insignificant so they did not affect the number of leukocytes in rabbits experiencing hemorrhagic shock.
