Empirically, bajakah tampala wood has been used by Dayak people for generations as a treatment for various diseases. This study aims to find out the content of bajakah tampala wood compounds using phytochemical screening, to determines bajakah tampala wood decoction has efficacy as an anti-diarrhea and the most effective concentration that provides the best antidiarrheal effect in mice. The experimental groups consisted of two control groups (positive and negative) and three treatment groups with bajakah tampala wood decoction concentrations (25%, 50%, 100%). Following treatment, observations were conducted on the test parameters, including diarrhea frequency, stool consistency, onset of diarrhea, duration of diarrhea, and recovery time. Animals were orally treated with bajakah tampala wood decoction before administering castor oil. The results of phytochemical screenings of bajakah tampala wood contain secondary metabolite compounds, namely alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and tanninss. The results of this research show that the best concentration is 25% and bajakah tampala wood can provide protection against diarrhea caused by castor oil.
