| dc.description.abstract | Cognitive style is a way related to how individuals collect, process, and process information. Cognitive styles are classified into intuitive and analytic styles. Cognitive style can associated with aspects of personality, a unique combination of an individual's attitudes, emotions, and behaviors. So far, several studies in foreign countries have shown a correlation between the two, but they have yet to do so on Indonesian students. Therefore, this study examines the relationship between cognitive style and personality among IPB University undergraduate students. Data was collected directly using Google Forms and paper with 440 IPB undergraduate students. Each respondent completed a questionnaire consisting of personal and demographic data, the Cognitive Reflection Test (CRT) to determine cognitive style, and the International Personality Item Pool (IPIP) scale to determine their personality. Data were analyzed using R Studio software and the relationship between cognitive style and personality was analyzed using the Pearson correlation test. This study shows that IPB undergraduate students adopt an intuitive cognitive style (1.06±1.037). Cognitive style correlates significantly with the personality dimension of extraversion but has no significant relationship with the personality dimensions of agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, and openness to experience. | id |
