| Abstract: | Ketepatan waktu pemanenan kopi ikut menentukan kualitas dari biji kopi.
Balai Standarisasi Instrumen Pertanian (BSIP) yang dahulu bernama Balai
Penelitian Tanaman Industri dan Penyegar (Balittri) memiliki kendala dalam
pemanenan buah kopi pada pohon yang tinggi. Keterlambatan panen menyebabkan
buah kopi menjadi terlalu matang saat dipanen sehingga dapat menurunkan citarasa
kopi. Karena itu diperlukan alat panen yang sesuai untuk pohon kopi yang tinggi.
Tujuan penelitian ini merancang, membangun, dan menguji kinerja untuk
mendapatkan parameter pengoperasian alat panen kopi yang sesuai agar diperoleh
kapasitas pemanenan dan kualitas hasil pemanenan yang optimal dan dapat
mengambil buah kopi pada pohon yang tinggi. Penelitian ini dimulai dari tahap
identifikasi masalah, analisis rancangan dan manufaktur, hingga melakukan
pengujian kinerja. Pengujian kinerja yang dilakukan meliputi pengujian kapasitas
pemanenan, kualitas hasil pemanenan, dan kebutuhan daya pemanenan pada
beberapa variasi kecepatan putar yaitu 130 - 150 rpm, 150 - 160 rpm, 160 - 180
rpm, 180 - 190 rpm, dan 190 - 200 rpm. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, parameter
pengoperasian alat panen kopi yang sesuai yaitu kecepatan putar 130 - 150 rpm
dengan hasil kapasitas pemanenan, kualitas pemanenan, dan kebutuhan daya listrik
secara berturut-turut yaitu 0,022 kg/menit, 88% buah superior serta 12% buah
inferior, dan 3,39 watt. The timeliness of coffee harvesting determines the quality of the coffee beans. Balai standarisasi instrumen Pertanian (BSIP), formerly known as Balai Penelitian Tanaman Industri dan Penyegar (Balittri), has problems in harvesting coffee fruit on tall trees. Delays in harvesting cause the coffee fruit to be overripe when harvested, which can reduce the flavor of the coffee. Therefore, a suitable harvester is needed for tall coffee trees. The purpose of this research is to design, build, and test the performance to obtain the appropriate operating parameters of the coffee harvesting tool in order to obtain optimal harvesting capacity and quality of harvesting results and can take coffee fruit on tall trees. This research starts from the problem identification stage, design and manufacturing analysis, to performance testing. Performance testing includes testing the harvesting capacity, quality of harvesting results, and harvesting power requirements at several variations of rotational speed, namely 130 - 150 rpm, 150 - 160 rpm, 160 - 180 rpm, 180 - 190 rpm, and 190 - 200 rpm. Based on the test results, the appropriate operating parameters of the coffee harvesting tool are rotating speed 130 - 150 rpm with the results of harvesting capacity, harvesting quality, and electrical power requirements are 0.022 kg/min, 88% superior fruit and 12% inferior fruit, and 3.39 watts, respectively. |
