| Abstract: | Kopi merupakan salah satu komoditas perkebunan unggulan. Menurut BPS
Leuwikopo, Institut Pertanian Bogor.
gram/tanaman (P1), 400 gram/tanaman (P2), 500 gram/tanaman (P3), 600
Sampel tanah menunjukkan terjadinya perbaikan kualitas
tanah dari segi kimia dan fisiknya. Dosis optimum pupuk kandang ayam untuk
pertumbuhan bibit kopi Arabika adalah 455 gram/tanaman. Coffee is one of the prime plantation commodities. According to BPS (2021), the total of national coffee production in 2021 is 786,19 thousand tonnes with PR as the largest producer, namely around 780,9 thousand tonnes (99,32%) followed by PBN at 4,13 thousand tonnes (0,53%) and PBS 1,2 thousand tonnes (0,15%). There are some problems that occurs in coffee cultivation, including global climate changes, the use of poor quality plant materials, and the increase in the price of NPK fertilizer. Efforts that can be made to increase coffee productivity are preparing the good quality of seedlings and applying fertilizer. This research aims to obtain the best dose of chicken manure for the growth of organic Arabica coffee seedlings. The research was carried out from April to August 2023 at the Leuwikopo Experimental Garden, Institut Pertanian Bogor. The research was designed using a randomized complete group design (RKLT) that consisted the application of several doses of chicken manure. Those levels were the application of chicken manure with doses of 0 gram/plant or control (P0), 300 gram/plant (P1), 400 gram/plant (P2), 500 gram/plant (P3), 600 gram/plant (P4), and 700 gram/plant (P5). The results of the research showed that applying several doses of chicken manure had a significant effect on plant height, stem diameter, wet weight of seedling canopies, dry weight of seedling canopies, and shoot-root ratios. Chicken manure dose of 300 gram/plant has the best effect on the growth of Arabica coffee seedlings. Soil nutrient analysis after fertilization treatment resulted in increased values for the pH, C-organic and N-total. Soil samples showed improvements in soil quality in terms of chemistry and physicality. The optimum dose of chicken manure for the growth of Arabica coffee seedlings is 455 gram/plant. |
