Abstract: During the pandemic, people need to make various adaptations to the current conditions. Patriot Bekasi Urban Forest is the widest green open space that is often visited by local people to meet the need for green open space. This study aims to determine public perceptions and preferences regarding the social function of the Bekasi Patriot Urban Forest before and during the pandemic, to determine the relationship between the respondent's age and education level with knowledge related to the social function of the urban forest, and then to develop recommendations. The method used in this study is an assessment using a Likert scale, semantic differential comparison, and relationship analysis using Spearman correlation. The results showed that the average value obtained related to the social functions of urban forests felt before the pandemic and during the pandemic decreased from 3.5 to 2.7. Based on the results of the study, it was found that there was no relationship between the respondent's age and education level with perceptions related to the social function of the urban forest. The recommendations given are the addition of several public facilities and affirmation of the application of regulations to support the convenience of visitors in experiencing the social functions of the urban forest during the pandemic.
