This study aimed to determine the growth response and yield of the Payo rice mutant lines to the treatment of NPK doses. The study was carried out in the green house of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Pasar Jumat, Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta in March-August 2023. The experiment was arranged using a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with 2 factors, namely genotype and dose NPK. The genotype treatment consisted of 10 Payo rice mutant lines and 2 check varieties, Payo and Inpari 32. The NPK doses consisted of three levels, namely 0%, 50% and 100% of the recommended dose of 350 kg NPK/ha. The results showed that the treatment of genotype had a very significant effect on all of characters observed. The treatment of NPK dosage had a very significant effect on plant height, number of productive tillers, total tiller number, total grain number per panicle, filled grain, empty grain, grain weight per clump and estimated yield. The interaction between genotype and NPK dosage had a very significant effect on plant height and total number of tillers. The 50% recommended dose of NPK was not significantly different from the 100% dose for the total amount of grain, empty grain, filled grain, weight of grain per clump and estimated yield (productivity). All lines tested had higher estimated yield than the check varieties Payo and Inpari-32. The PY-09 and PY-10 lines were able to produce more than 7 tonnes/ha with estimated yields of 7.34 and 7.29 tonnes/ha. All Payo mutant lines, especially PY-09 and PY-10, need to be developed further as superior varieties for organic farming that are adaptive to low inputs of NPK fertilizer.
