Abstract

This research essentially aims to see and understand the impact of industrialization on rural communities. This research was conducted in Bitung Sari Village, Ciawi, Bogor. The subject of this research is the village government, community leaders, community members and the industries. This study investigated impacts of industrialization on rural community as well as on land use and environmental issues. The conclusion of this research is the Jae: that industrialization has led to social change in the aspect of demography. employment opportunities, business opportunities, types of livelihood, education, social cohesion and social stratification. In addition. industrialization has led to changes in land use and environmental pollution.
