Abstract: Pengetahuan tentang keanekaragaman serangga pengunjung tanaman sangat diperlukan untuk strategi pengembangan produksi tanaman.
Knowledge of the diversity of plant-visiting insects is indispensable for plant production development strategies. Lemon (Citrus limon) requires insects as pollinating agents. This study aims to study the diversity and daily activity of the insect visitor to the lemon flower, measure the relationship between the activity of the visitor insect and abiotic factors, measure the effectiveness of pollination on the lemon flower, and calculate the pollen load. The scan sampling method was used to observe the diversity of visitor insects, carried out at 07.00–17.00 WIB during the anthesis period on 6–8 flowers per plant from six lemon plants. Data analysis was performed using the program (PAST) 4.13. Visitor insect diversity data were analyzed using the evenness index (E), Shannon-Wienner diversity index (H'), and dominance index (C). The number of individual insects visiting the flowers of the lemon orange plant (Citrus limon) was 870 individuals consisting of 20 species, 16 families and 4 orders. On average, the highest number of individuals and species of insects visiting flowers occurred on the second day of flowering. Temperature, humidity, and light intensity influence the number of insects that visit the flowers of the lemon.
