| Abstract: | The purpose of this study is to identify Lurah’s leadership style which has been applied in every activities, to study factors that influence the application of Lurah’s leadership style, to study the performance of his subordinates in urban village Ciparigi, and to analyze the effect of these styles of leadership to his subordinates performance. This study combines two kinds of approach, quantitative approach (survey method) and qualitative approach. This study was conducted in the urban village of Ciparigi, Subdistrict of North Bogor, Bogor City, West Java. Based the funding of this study show, the dominant styles of leadership that were use by Lurah were the consultative leadership style and participative leadership style. Directive and delegative styles of leadership were also used in the selected activities. Factors which influence Lurah’s style of leadership in urban village Ciparigi are leader characteristics, subordinates characteristics, and the situation in the organization. The performance of urban village Ciparigi is quiet high, 75% of subordinates have a high performance of work. The application of various styles of leadership, especially the consultative and participative style, effectively affect the subordinates performance, that produces a high performance of work, whether in application of internal duty or society services. |
