The big role of MSMEs in the economy needs to be supported, one of which is through bank financing. However, the large role of MSMEs is not in line with the level of lending. This study aims to analyze the comparison of determinants and the level of credit distribution preference to MSME lending by BUK (Commercial Banks) and BUS (Syariah Banks). The method used is descriptive and quantitative analysis with panel data. The data used is secondary data sourced from OJK and BI. The results showed that MSME lending by BUK was significantly positively influenced by LDR (Loan Deposit Ratio), DPK (Third Party Funds), and CAR (Capital Adequacy Ratio) and negatively by NPL (Non Performing Loan) and NIM (Net Interest Margin). Meanwhile, BUS is significantly positively influenced by NOM (Net Operation Margin) and CAR (Capital Adequacy Ratio) and negatively by BOPO (Operating Expenses Per Operating Income) and NPF (Non Performing Finance). Then it is known that the BSI (Bank Syariah Indonesia) merger dummy is positively correlated, which indicates that the merger has a positive impact on MSME financing. In addition, it is known that BUS is more favorable to MSME financing than BUK.
