Abstract: Perancangan pengembangan unit produksi kentang tumbuk dan tepung kentang di Kecamatan Modoinding, sebagai tindak lanjut dari riset adaptif program UPLAND, menjamin keberlanjutan bisnis. Tahap awal pengembangan memerlukan kajian tentang susunan fasilitas produksi di dalam unit untuk mencapai efisiensi produksi, terutama dalam alur berurutan dari proses dan bahan-bahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan rekomendasi tata letak untuk Unit Produksi Modoinding. Metode desain tata letak yang digunakan adalah BLOCPLAN (Blok Layout Overview with Layout Planning). Hasil dari penelitian ini menyajikan tata letak prototipe untuk fasilitas produksi, dengan memanfaatkan total luas area 137 m2 dengan 12 area kerja dan 1 fasilitas tambahan, menghasilkan jarak total penanganan bahan sebesar 149,25 m. Upaya ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi produksi dan berkontribusi pada kesuksesan jangka panjang program UPLAND.
The design and development of a mashed potato and potato flour production unit in the Modoinding Subdistrict, as a follow-up to the adaptive research of the UPLAND program, ensures business sustainability. The initial phase of development requires a study of production facility arrangements within the unit to achieve production efficiency, particularly in the sequential flow of processes and materials. This research aims to provide layout recommendations for the Modoinding Production Unit. The layout design method used is BLOCPLAN (Block Layout Overview with Layout Planning). The results of this research present a prototype layout for production facilities, utilizing a total area of 137 m2 with 12 work areas and an additional facilities, resulting in a total material handling distance of 149,25 m. This effort aims to enhance production efficiency and contribute to the long-term success of the UPLAND program.
