PT Sutan Vet Medika is an animal feed industry that produces supplements to increase the appetite of cats and dogs. There are several issues with the production facilities layout, including the improper placement of the restroom door according to the Good Animal Drug Manufacturing Practice (GADMP) guidelines, the production facilities layout that have not paid attention to the material flow as it creates material backtracking, and the use of production facilities space for employees’ residences. This research aims to design alternative production facilities layouts to address the issues of the previous layout. The improvement of the production facilities layout is carried out using the Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) method and the CORELAP (Computerized Layout Planning) algorithm. The layout of proposed production facilities increase 23.67% material transfer distance efficiency based on simulation results.
