| dc.description.abstract | Karantina pertanian memiliki tugas dan fungsi dalam pencegahan masuk dan keluarnya penyakit ke dan dari wilayah Indonesia dan kepulauan di wilayah Indonesia. Sesuai dengan amanat Undang-Undang, salah satu ruang lingkup karantina pertanian adalah pengawasan dan/atau pengendalian keamanan pangan dan mutu pangan. Oleh karena itu, pengetahuan tentang keamanan dan mutu pangan perlu dimiliki oleh dokter hewan karantina. Penelitian bertujuan mengidentifikasi tingkat pengetahuan dokter hewan karantina terhadap keamanan dan mutu pangan. Data penelitian diambil melalui wawancara kepada dokter hewan karantina menggunakan kuesioner yang berisi 15 pertanyaan. Pengetahuan dokter hewan dikategorisasi menjadi tiga tingkat kategori, yaitu rendah, sedang, dan tinggi. Hubungan antara karakteristik responden dan tingkat pengetahuan dianalisis menggunakan uji Fisher exact. Hasil studi menunjukkan mayoritas (84,4%) dokter hewan karantina memiliki tingkat pengetahuan sedang, sedangkan tingkat pengetahuan tinggi sebesar 15,6% dan rendah sebesar 12,5%. Selanjutnya, diperoleh tidak ada hubungan antara umur, jenis kelamin, tingkat pendidikan, dan tingkat pengetahuan. Studi ini mengindikasikan masih diperlukannya peningkatan pengetahuan tentang keamanan dan mutu pangan untuk meningkatkan kinerja dokter hewan karantina. | id |
| dc.description.abstract | The agricultural quarantine has duties and functions in preventing the entry and exit of diseases into and from the territory of Indonesia and islands in the territory of Indonesia. In accordance with the mandate of the law, one of the scopes of agricultural quarantine is the monitoring and/or control of food safety and quality. Therefore, quarantine veterinarians should have knowledge on food safety and quality. The study aimed to identify the level of knowledge of quarantine veterinarians on food safety and quality. Data were collected through interviews to quarantine veterinarians using a questionnaire containing 15 questions. The knowledge level was categorized into three levels, i.e., low, moderate, and high. The relationships between respondent characteristics and knowledge level was analysed using Fisher exact test. The study showed that the majority (84,4%) of quarantine veterinarians had a moderate level of knowledge, while high knowledge level were 15,6% and low knowledge level were 12,5%. Furthermore, there was no relationship between age, gender, education level and knowledge level. This study indicates that there is still a need to increase the knowledge on food safety and quality to improve the performance of quarantine veterinarians. | id |
