media tanam.
Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, tujuan penelitian : (1) mengidentifikasi
tingkat keamanan konsumsi sayuran terkait absorbsi logam berat akibat
Cr dan As.
Komposisi media 0,4 kg FA
+ 0,1 kg BA + 15,5 kg tanah (M1) memberikan respon terbaik terhadap peningkatan
bobot kering tajuk, laju tumbuh relatif, bobot setiap buah, bobot buah per tanaman,
Fly ash and bottom ash (FABA) are coal combustion wastes which are abundantly available. FABA can be used as a mixture of planting media because it has macro and micro nutrients needed by plants. Even though FABA contains heavy metals and micro-nutrients which are toxic, their toxicity effects are still below par. Therefore, research was conducted to see how well FABA functions as a growing medium. Based on this background, the research objectives were: (1) to identify the safety level of vegetable consumption related to heavy metal absorption due to the use of FABA planting media in chili, eggplant, kale, spinach, mustard greens and moringa based on Acceptable Daily Intake (ADI) and Estimated Daily Intake (EDI); (2) to determine the effect of the composition of the growing media and the types of vegetables on the growth and yield of chilies, tomatoes, eggplants, water spinach, spinach and caisim mustard; (3) determine the best planting medium composition for growth and yield of vegetables. The research consists of two experiments. The first experiment was testing the heavy metal content of various vegetable samples. The second experiment was a pot experiment which was placed in a screenhouse to observe the growth and yield of vegetables. FABA application in the first experiment did not affect nitrate concentrations in all kind of vegetables and heavy metals absorbed in water spinach and spinach except for Pb, in chilies except Fe, Mn, Zn and Cu, in caisim mustard except Fe and in moringa. Daily consumption of spinach and moringa on FABA and without FABA cultivation system exceeded acceptable daily intake limits for heavy metals Cu, Ni, Cr and As. The concentration of Pb in water spinach increased on FABA media, but did not affect the ADI limit of water spinach on Pb. Intake of heavy metal Cu from kale, spinach and mustard greens exceeds the ADI with or without the application of FABA. The use of FABA did not increase the concentration of As in water spinach and caisim mustard, but daily intake of As in water spinach and mustard greens FABA exceeded the ADI limit. The application of various compositions of planting media in the second experiment gave different growth and yield responses for each type of vegetable to plant height 4 WAP, RGB leaf color, crown fresh weight, fresh and dry weight of roots, net assimilation rate, proportion of leaf damage, number of flowers and fruit, fruit ratio, weight of each fruit, yield weight per plant, fruit diameter, proportion of number of damaged fruit and shoot nitrate uptake. The media composition of 0,4 kg FA + 0,1 kg BA + 15,5 kg soil (M1) gave the best response to increasing shoot dry weight, relative growth rate, fruit weight per plant, eggplant fruit diameter, fruit hardness. on chilies, eggplants and tomatoes, as well as reducing the proportion of damaged fruits in tomatoes. |
