Abstract: Kacang hijau (Vigna radiata L. Wilczek) pada umumnya memiliki genotipe yang rentan mengalami pecah polong sehingga banyak terjadi kehilangan hasil sebelum panen dan saat panen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi ketahanan pecah polong dan beberapa karakter agronomi galur-galur kacang hijau IPB. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kebun Percobaan Balai Penelitian Bioteknologi dan Sumberdaya Genetik Pertanian, Kecamatan Bogor Barat, Kota Bogor dari bulan November 2022 hingga bulan Maret 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan kelompok lengkap teracak dengan tiga ulangan. Sebanyak 22 genotipe kacang hijau dan 2 varietas pembanding yaitu Vima 1 dan Vima 5 ditanam hingga sampai masa panen dan dilakukan pengamatan karakter agronomi serta persentase pecah polong. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan beberapa genotipe yang diuji memiliki karakter agronomi yang lebih baik dari pembanding. Genotipe F7- Lom2/129-42, F7- VR10/V1-29, F7-VR10/V1-10, F7-Lom2/129-2, dan F5-Lom2/129-125 memiliki karakter yang paling baik dari galur yang diuji dan lebih baik dari varietas pembanding. Galur-galur kacang hijau yang diuji bersifat toleran pecah polong.
Mung bean (Vigna radiata L. Wilczek) has most of the genotypes that are prone to pod dehiscent resulting in a lot of yield loss before and during harvest. This study aims to evaluate the resistance to pod dehiscent and several agronomic characters of IPB's green bean lines. The research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Balai Penelitian Bioteknologi dan Sumberdaya Genetik Pertanian, West Bogor District, Bogor City from November 2022 to March 2023. This study used randomized complete group design with three replications. A total of 22 mung bean genotypes and 2 control varieties, namely Vima 1 and Vima 5, were planted up to harvest and observed for agronomic characters and the percentage of pod dehiscent. The results of this study indicated that some of the genotypes tested had better agronomic characteristics than the controls The genotypes F7-Lom2/129-42, F7-VR10/V1-29, F7-VR10/V1-10, F7-Lom2/129-2, and F5-Lom2/129-125 had the best characters from the strains tested and better than the comparison varieties. The strains of green beans tested were tolerant dehiscent of the pods.
