dc.description.abstractOkra (Abelmoschus esculentus) merupakan salah satu komoditas sayuran dan obat-obatan dari famili Malvaceae yang hidup di kawasan tropis dan sub-tropis. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi keragaan dan daya hasil delapan galur okra dengan varietas pembandingnya yaitu Varietas Naila dan Zahira. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Agustus sampai Desember 2022 di Kebun Percobaan Leuwikopo dan Laboratorium Pemuliaan Tanaman, Kecamatan Dramaga, Kabupaten Bogor. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan kelompok lengkap teracak (RKLT) dengan faktor tunggal dan tiga ulangan. Bahan genetik yang digunakan terdiri dari delapan galur IPB dengan dua varietas pembanding yaitu Naila dan Zahira. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan genotipe berpengaruh nyata terhadap karakter-karakter yang diuji kecuali jumlah buku, panjang ruas, ketebalan karpel buah, persen tanaman hidup, jumlah buah per tanaman, bobot buah per tanaman, dan bobot buah per petak. Potensi hasil galur yang diuji tidak lebih baik dari pembanding namun terdapat galur yang layak dilepas menjadi varietas karena memiliki penciri lain yakni galur V8 okra merah. Galur tersebut memiliki keraggaan tanaman yang tinggi (>122,13 cm), pemanjangan buah muda yang lebih cepat (14,28 cm dalam 4 hari), umur berbunga (33 HST), dan umur panen (38 HST).id
dc.description.abstractOkra (Abelmoschus esculentus) is a vegetable and medicinal commodity from the Malvaceae family that lives in tropical and sub-tropical regions. This study aims to evaluate the performance and yield of eight okra lines with their comparison varieties, namely Naila and Zahira varieties. The study was conducted from August 2022 to December 2022 at the Leuwikopo Experimental Garden and Plant Breeding Laboratory, Dramaga District, Bogor Regency. This study used a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with a single factor and three replications. The genetic material used consisted of eight IPB lines with two control varieties namely Naila and Zahira. The results showed that the genotype treatment had a significant effect on the characters tested except for the number of nodes, internode length, fruit carpel thickness, percent live plants, number of fruit per plant, fruit weight per plant, and fruit weight per plot. The yield potential of the strains tested was no better than the comparator, but there were lines that deserved to be released into varieties because they had another characteristic, namely the red V8 okra line. These lines had high plant diversity (>122.13 cm), faster elongation of young fruit (14.28 cm in 4 days), flowering age (33 DAP), and harvest time (38 DAP).id
