Abstract: Monyet ekor panjang (Macaca fascicularis) banyak digunakan dalam riset biomedis sebagai hewan model. Salah satu lokasi konservasi M. fascicularis di Indonesia terletak di Pulau Tinjil, Provinsi Banten. Pulau Tinjil termasuk jenis Natural Habitat Breeding Facility (NHBF). Penelitian ini menggunakan 40 ekor MEP di pulau Tinjil dan 30 ekor MEP di fasilitas penangkaran Pusat Studi Satwa Primata. Parameter morfometri mencakup bobot badan, panjang badan anterior, total tinggi kepala, panjang lengan atas, panjang lengan bawah, lebar dada, tebal dada, lebar pinggang, panjang paha, dan panjang betis. Uji Mann-Whitney digunakan untuk membandingkan morfometri MEP di Pulau Tinjil berdasarkan umur dan jenis kelamin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan ukuran morfometri sangat terlihat pada usia dewasa antara jantan dan betina. Selain itu, perbedaan juga terlihat secara signifikan antara kelompok jantan usia pra-dewasa dan dewasa. M. fascicularis yang berhabitat di pulau Tinjil relatif lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan studi-studi sebelumnya, namun dalam beberapa kategori usia masih masuk dalam rentang ukuran tinggi duduk dan berat badan.
Long-tailed macaque (Macaca fascicularis) are widely used in biomedical research as animal models. One of the conservation sites in Indonesia is located on Tinjil Island, Banten Province. Tinjil Island is a Natural Habitat Breeding Facility (NHBF). Research about morphometry of long-tailed macaque on this island is still minimal. This study used 40 macaques on Tinjil Island and 30 macaques in the Primate Animal Study Center captive facility. Morphometric parameters include body weight, anterior body length, total head height, upper arm length, forearm length, chest width, chest thickness, waist width, thigh length, and calf length. The Mann-Whitney test was used to compare morphometry of Macaca fascicularis on Tinjil Island based on age and sex. The results showed that differences in morphometric size were very visible in adulthood between males and females. In addition, significant differences were also seen between groups of pre-adult and adult males. M. fascicularis which lives on Tinjil Island is relatively smaller compared to previous studies, but in several age categories it still falls within the range of sitting height and body weight.
