Abstract: Persilangan antar spesies ipomoea yang berbeda ploidinya telah dilakukan untuk mengetahui keragaman genetik silangan F1-nya. Enam klon ubi jalar (1. batatas) heksaploid, BIS-183, Papota, BIS-168, BIS-214, BIS-192, dan BIS-157 telah dipilih sebagai tetua betina dan dua klon I. trifida diploid dipilih sebagai tetua Jantan.
